I'll be staying soon at the Grand Floridian. My flight arrives at Orlando a tad early so I was wondering if it's possible to hang at the premises and enjoy the facilities while waiting for the check-in time, which I understand is at 3PM.

    Hello Tania!

Welcome to planDisney. You've certainly made a grand choice in resort accommodations for your upcoming trip. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of my favorites, not only for its beauty and variety of dining options but because it's conveniently located just one Monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom Park. I just know you'll enjoy a most magical stay when you arrive next month!

You are more than welcome to relax in the stunning lobby and tour the resort grounds when you arrive. Simply stop by Bell Services which will be glad to store your luggage until your resort room is available. I love sitting in the lobby and listening to the live pianist as I watch all the guests go about their magical day. It's a great way to relax after a long travel day. Your travel dates put you right on time for even more festive fun since the iconic Gingerbread House is already fully assembled and open for guests hoping to purchase a sweet treat. I picked up a few goodies on my last visit and especially loved the adorable Brownie Tree Pop. The beautiful tree is also decorated in its finest holiday trimmings so take time to admire the ornaments and snap some photos as you relax in the lobby.

If you're looking to make a splash you can feel free to enjoy the resort pools as well while waiting for your room. Registered guests have access to all resort amenities. on both check-in and check-out days. Why not place a Mobile Order for lunch from Gasparilla Island Grill to enjoy while relaxing poolside? My friends raved about the Caprese Sandwich there on our last visit.

If you want to enjoy even more magic while waiting for your room you can board the Monorail to visit the gingerbread display at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I love gliding through the iconic lobby and doing a bit of shopping at Bayview Gifts. Alternatively, you can head over to Disney Springs to enjoy The Christmas Tree Stroll and other festive entertainment offerings.

I hope this helps you plan a magical arrival day Tania. If we can offer any additional guidance please come back and let us know.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
