I'll be staying near Disney World in June. Can I drive over to a Disney resort to look around and have a quick service meal?

    Hi there, Sandra!

A warm welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for stopping by with your question about visiting Disney Resort hotels. It's great to hear that you'll be staying near the Walt Disney World Resort this summer - you'll be so close to the magic! I completely understand wanting to check out the amazing Disney Resort hotels and I'd be happy to discuss your options for visiting them.

One of my favorite parts of any Walt Disney World Resort vacation is staying at one of the incredible Disney Resort hotels. Staying at an onsite resort keeps Guests immersed in Disney magic throughout their entire stay! Not to mention, Disney Resort hotel Guests enjoy special benefits like early theme park entry, complimentary resort transportation, and the ability to book dining reservations for their entire length of stay up to 60 days in advance. Sandra, parking at Disney Resort hotels is reserved for hotel Guests or day Guests with reservations for dining or Enchanted Extras Collection experiences. For that reason, I encourage you to explore available dining options to enjoy a delicious meal and the ability to explore a Disney Resort hotel!

Sandra, some of my favorite (and, in my opinion, the best!) Walt Disney World Resort dining locations are at Disney Resort hotels. A few of my personal favorites include Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Each of these locations serves wonderful dishes and is situated inside a stunning Disney Resort hotel. I highly recommend making a dining reservation, taking the time to explore the beautiful grounds, and doing some shopping if it fits your schedule! As a day Guest, you are able to book dining reservations up to 60 days in advance on the Walt Disney World Resort website or in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope that you find this information useful, Sandra. I'm wishing you a wonderful trip and hope that you'll be able to spend some time at the Walt Disney World Resort during your vacation! If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again anytime - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
