Hi, I'll be staying at the Grand Californian in early June with my son, who'll be 8 months old then (his 2nd trip!). I'm wondering what the pool policy is with swim diapers? And do they provide baby arm floaties, or do we need to bring our own?

Welcome to planDisney, Kristine! Thanks so much for stopping by and sending us your question. How exciting that you will be vacationing at The Happiest Place on Earth in less than two months!

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is my favorite of the Disneyland Resort Hotels! If you haven't ever stayed there, you are in for such a magical stay. It's amazing and pool time is always a must for our family! There's even a shallow Mickey Mouse-shaped children’s pool for you & your little guy to splash around in! I was able to confirm that the hotel does not have a policy in place for swim diapers. If you think your little guy might need one while you are swimming, you can use one however, it isn't a requirement. The hotel doesn't provide baby arm floaties, but I was told they are available for sale in the gift shop. I would suggest bringing a pair with you that you know will fit.

One of the many things I love about the pools at the Grand Californian is the great food and beverage menu that's available poolside. Cast members frequently walk around to take orders, which makes pool time even more relaxing. My favorites from the menu are the banana daiquiri, poke bowl, beef nachos, and the root beer float with a Mickey cookie!

Kristine, I'm so excited for you to arrive at the Disneyland Resort! If you have any questions as you are planning, please visit us again at planDisney. We would love to help you plan all of the magical details!

    Smiles,
    Lisa
