Hi, I'll be staying at the AKL in April in a club level room, I understand that their is a cast member that will greet us and take us to the club level floor. Is it customary to tip this cast member? If so, how much is appropriate? Thanks

    Hi Ana,

This is a really great question.  First, I must say, have a wonderful time staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge at the Kilimanjaro Club Concierge level.  My husband and I stayed at this level once and it was amazing.

There will probably be a cast member who greets you at your car and escorts you into the resort.  While technically these cast members are allowed to accept tips, you might find that an offer of a tip is declined, which has happened to some of my fellow Moms Panelists.  I think that if you feel like you would like to acknowledge the cast member who walked you in, offer at small tip and then simply be prepared for it to be declined.  If you feel like the cast member did a wonderful job and you would like to acknowledge them in some way, you can stop by the front desk and ask for a manager with whom to share your experience.  Often the time that a guest spends to go out of their way to give positive feedback about a particular cast member is beneficial to the cast member.

I hope that this answer helps, Ana.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, and have a wonderful time on your trip!
