Hi Tasha,
Your plan for your Walt Disney World stay sounds pretty awesome so far — a day at Epcot and then off to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
You're sure to enjoy Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! It's one of my favorite seasonal events at Walt Disney World. I especially love the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and the Holiday Wishes nighttime fireworks.
Typically, the easiest way to get from Epcot to Magic Kingdom Park is to ride the
Walt Disney World Monorail. I always describe the Monorail as a showcase attraction in itself. From Epcot's front gate, you can first take the Epcot Monorail line to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), where you can then take the Express Monorail line to Magic Kingdom Park. I'd say the ride time on each of the lines is less than 10 minutes. You'll want to allow extra time to account for waiting for the next Monorail to arrive at Epcot, for boarding, and waiting for the next Monorail to arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to check out directions and travel times, you'll see an estimate of about 35 minutes travel time from Epcot to Magic Kingdom Park. There is also a Resort Monorail you can take from the Transportation and Ticket Center and it will make stops at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
Tasha, here's wishing you a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World and a magical celebration at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
