I'll be at Port Orleans Riverside w/ a toddler. We want to go back to the room for naps midday. Is it faster to drive to the parks or to rely on the busses? Is driving slower w/o the parking lot trams? How long should I plan for travel?

Greetings Samantha! I love your plan! Toddler or no toddler, that afternoon nap is such a great idea! My family begins our Disney day early and then returns to our resort hotel for a nap or afternoon break by the pool! Then we head back out for the night and close the park!

I recommend relying on Disney Transportation rather than driving your own vehicle. It is a long walk (or stroller ride) to the parking lots! While you might have to wait a few minutes for the bus to arrive, I think you’ll save time in the end! The buses arrive frequently to return Guests to their resort hotel. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 10-minutes for a bus ride back to my resort hotel from any of the parks. Once you’re on the bus, I would anticipate an average of 15-minutes to arrive back at your resort. Also, don't forget that there are Baby Care Centers conveniently located at all of the Disney Parks!

Samantha, Port Orleans Riverside is a great resort to visit! Our family stayed there for my brother’s wedding! It is such a beautiful resort! This resort is also loaded with some of the best amenities. From fishing excursions to horse-drawn carriage rides, you can find just about any leisurely activity to do at this resort!

I hope you and your little Mouseketeer have a great time visiting this spring!
