I'll be at the parks with a LARGE group of non-family members (marching band trip) in May. Is it possible to make dining (or other) reservations that include people not tied to my My Disney experience app?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for sending us your magical question today! Wow, Jennifer, it sounds like you have a very exciting trip ahead of you, and I wish my school trips were that magical! Trips with your school club or marching band are always extra special, and I cannot wait for you all to make magical memories that will last a lifetime. Although my school never took us to the most magical place on Earth, I still have the fondest memories of our trips, and I am honoured to be helping you with yours!

When it comes to dining reservations, you do not have to link every guest to their respective My Disney Experience profiles to be able to make your reservation! You can simply indicate the correct number of guests in the reservation, and the rest of the party will show up as "Guest 1," "Guest 2," etc. Depending on how big your party is, you might have to split up the group and make separate reservations with slightly different times so that everyone can still enjoy their meal together. However, the best way to make reservations for a large group would be to call the Group Reservations team. These Cast Members are specialized in organizing accommodations for large groups and will be able to help you make these reservations. In addition, you may also make Resort Hotel Reservations without linking each one to their respective guests on My Disney Experience. Indeed, once the reservation is complete, each guest will be able to link the confirmation number to their account and proceed with their check-in from there.

Now, Jennifer, a few restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort are better fit to accommodate larger parties. Some of my personal favourites include 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Trail's End Restaurant at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, and Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. First, 'Ohana offers a Hawaiian-inspired family-style menu, including various grilled meats and their famous Ohana noodles! If you have a sweet tooth, do not pass on this restaurant's pineapple-coconut bread pudding - one of my all-time favourites. Due to this restaurant's proximity to Magic Kingdom Park, you might even get to watch the fireworks from the resort! Second, Trail's End offers an American-style dinner with tasty skillets and some of your favourite comfort foods. I still have dreams about those potatoes! Lastly, I cannot recommend Boma - Flavors of Africa enough. This excellent buffet showcases many African-style dishes and options for all tastes, and hosts the famous Zebra Domes - a must-get dessert for me! Plus, you can enjoy the view of the savanna before and after your meal as your favourite animals roam the resort.

I hope this was helpful, Jennifer, and that you and your group will have the most magical time on your upcoming Disney vacation! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!

Have a magical day and see ya real soon,
