Samantha from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi, I’ll be at Disney world in July. I was wondering if there is a way to ship merchandise that’s purchased at the parks back to my home address?

Greetings, Samantha ("I don't even know a Samantha!"). I'm going to make like Olaf and offer you a warm (virtual) hug and an even warmer welcome to planDisney. As an admitted Walt Disney World shopaholic, I'm thrilled to help answer your question today!

Disney World is such a magical place, and it's only natural to want to bring a little piece of the magic home with you (or at least that's what I tell myself each time I swipe my MagicBand+!). For me, the only problem is that my "little piece of magic" usually turns into lots of pieces of magic. And sometimes? That much magic just can't fit into my suitcase!

Fortunately, most Disney World gift shops do offer the option to ship your purchases home (shipping rates may vary). Generally, you can ship a single purchase home from a theme park gift shop or from the gift shops located at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This is super convenient if you're buying something large, bulky, or fragile that you don't want to carry with you in the parks throughout the day.

Now, if you're anything like me, you might collect lots of purchases over the course of your stay. If this sounds like you, you can also ship all your purchases together at the end of your stay. I love stocking up on Minnie ears, magical mugs, and other Disney paraphernalia - knowing that I can consolidate my purchases into one shipment before I leave for home. You can do this from most theme park and resort gift shops, and it's generally a bit more cost-effective than shipping everything separately.

Samantha, one of my family's favorite Disney World traditions is to buy a Christmas ornament from Disney's Day of Christmas in Disney Springs. I love to choose a special ornament each time we visit, and have it customized with the year, date, or even my kids' names! Customization takes a little time, so I usually have it shipped home. This way, we don't have to return at a later time to pick it up, and it serves as a fun, magical surprise when it turns up on our doorstep after we've returned home!

Bonus Tip: Be sure to check out the Merchandise Mobile Checkout option in your My Disney Experience app. This feature is available at many retail locations around Disney World, and will save you tons of time in line!

I hope this is helpful, Samantha, and that you enjoy some serious retail therapy on your upcoming Disney World vacation (we both know you deserve it!). If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    Time to check out
