I’ll be at Disney World from 23 December through 4 January. Will Epcot be hosting the candlelight processional on Xmas Eve?

Hi there, Maria - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

Spending time during the winter holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort is extra magical. I love all the decor, the special food, and of course, the unique entertainment offerings like the Candlelight Processional! Part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, this tradition has graced the World Showcase for quite some time, and is a holiday favorite for many.

It's still a bit early for us to hEAR any news about what Mickey has planned for this holiday season, but I can tell you that in previous years, the Candlelight Processional has occurred nightly, including on Christmas Eve, from late November through late December. I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates - that's where most of the exciting holiday news will appear first!

Maria, I hope this information is helpful as you start planning your holiday vacation. It's going to be a great time to visit. The weather has cooled off a bit, and in addition to all the holiday excitement, you'll also be visiting during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, full of even more magic. Let us know if any other questions pop up!
