Hi there. I’ll be at Disney, staying at Animal Kingdom, with my family (husband, 3 year old and 9 month old) this Christmas. I‘m looking for tips for Christmas Day lunch? And can you go to other hotels’ restaurants if no park hopper ticket? Thanks!

    Hi Kelly!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas break is the most magical way to spend the holiday, in my opinion. Not only are the theme parks decorated beautifully, but there are many magical events happening throughout all four theme parks and the Resort hotels.

Since you are planning for Christmas Day lunch, my first suggestion is to make sure that you make an advanced dining reservation. Dining reservations can be made starting 180 days in advance of your stay. Since the Christmas holiday is one of the busiest times of year to visit, dining reservations are a must! Since you are staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would like to suggest that you consider trying Sanaa or Boma Flavors of Africa. These are two of my favorite places to eat, and they offer excellent choices for both adults and children! If you are hoping to visit other Resort hotels to either look around or dine, you will not need a park hopper ticket. If you plan to drive to the Resort hotels to eat, dining reservations are highly recommended.

Make sure to take advantage of Baby Care Centers when you visit each of the four theme parks. These are great for changing and feeding your little ones.

I hope that you have a magical time!
