Hi Amanda,
My family and I love the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! My husband and I enjoyed it before my daughter was born, and now at 8 years old, she is a festival professional herself!
One of our favorite things to do is to meander around World Showcase and sample foods from the various international marketplaces. The food is all small plates, so if you get something that your children do not like, it is not a huge investment. There are menus from the
International Marketplace Food Booths online, including the prices of the items. You and your children can begin to look at these even before you leave home to decide what they might like to try. Everyone's tastes are different, but I can tell you that my daughter positively loves the Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimchurri Sauce and Boniato Puree at the Argentina booth. A way to make this sampling even more fun for your children is to pick up a Discovery Passport, available for free at any of the food booths. As you walk around, the children can collect a unique stamp in the passport at each food booth, as well as check off the foods that they have sampled.
Another suggestion I have for you is to check out the
Eat to the Beat Concert schedule during your trip. These concerts happen nightly, typically three times a night, usually around 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m.The concerts are fun and high-energy, and are included with your park admission. Acts include Sugar Ray, Edwin McCain, The Pointer Sisters, and many more! Your children may really enjoy these concerts.
Amanda, I would love to help you plan more; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
