i'll be going to disney alone but my friend might drive up from tampa for a day and spend one night there in my room would i have to notify disney and would there be a extra charge?

    Hi Stacie,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I've had a few solo trips to Walt Disney World, and it is really fun to simply go to the beat of your own drum.  I think it's fantastic that your friend can join you for a day, and assuming that you have not booked a vacation package (that includes the dining plan) I would go ahead and add their name to the reservation.  This way your friend will be issued a room key and you can obtain a parking pass for them.  All room rates are based on double occupancy, so there is no additional charge for a second adult.

Keep in mind that if you have purchased the dining plan, if you add your friend to the reservation, they must purchase the dining plan as well.  If that is the case, then I would probably not add them to the reservation.  They won't have a room key, and will therefore be unable to participate in any Extra Magic Hours but paying for the dining plans for the days/nights that they won't be there would be expensive!

    Hope this helps, have fun!
