Ciao, William, and welcome to planDisney!
What a magical adventure you have planned for the Mediterranean next summer with Disney Cruise Line! The
Disney Wish will be making her way across the Atlantic in 2027 to host Guests for a summer full of fabulous itineraries, including yours, which stops in
Civitavecchia. The views will be picturesque, the cuisine will be delicious, and the memories will be for a lifetime! I know you can't wait to set sail on this voyage to discover the rich history of these European ports.
William, there are a few Port Adventures I'd like you to take a look at as you research for next July. First, the
Colosseum Insider: Rome's Small Group Adventure. This is a full-day excursion that will allow you to go inside the arena while also seeing the Trevi Fountain (don't forget your coins to throw in), The Forum, and St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. If you decide to book this adventure, please note that it is non-refundable because it includes a ticket to enter the Colosseum. Another suggestion is
Colosseum: Beyond the Gates & Onto the Arena Floor. This tour includes a closer look at where the gladiators once dueled on the Colosseum floor. You'll see well-known Roman landmarks from your motorcoach, views of the Roman Forum, and the Trevi Fountain. One other option to consider is the
Exclusive Colosseum Arena Floor and Rooftop View. This is another all-day event with a 60-minute tour included that will give you the most in-depth look at this marvelous stone structure. Other highlights include seeing what remains of the Roman Forum palaces along the Via dei Fori Imperiali, spectacular views of the Eternal City from the monument "Vittoriano", and over 2 hours to explore on your own before heading back to the ship. This tour is non-refundable once booked.
I've been fortunate to tour Rome with Disney Cruise Line, and William and I don't think you can go wrong with any of these
Port Adventures. All three offer you an opportunity to see the Colosseum and other sites in the Eternal City. My best advice is to read over each description and rank them in order of what interests you the most. When your
booking window opens, I recommend having a few options selected for each port in case your top choice is sold out. And continue to check back in case more spots open up, or there are cancellations.
William, I am so glad you sailed over for some help with your plans. Your question brought back my wonderful memories of Rome, and I'm excited you'll have the opportunity to make your own with Disney Cruise Line in 2027. If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Have a magical day,
Nancy
