I'll be coming down in November for my first Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon! A co-worker of mine is staying at Disney's Old Key West, a non-host resort. What are her options for race/expo transportation?

    Greetings, Tricia!

I hope you are looking forward to participating in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon! November will be here before you know it. And with this being the fifth anniversary of this nighttime race event, it's sure to be extra special.

For guests staying at non-host resorts, transportation to race activities can be quite the adventure. The most direct route is to utilize a taxi service - always a consideration if she gets into a time crunch and doesn't mind the fare. However, if she's up for it, she has the option of taking theme park bus transportation from Disney's Old Key West Resort to Epcot® (the closest theme park) and then transferring to a resort bus headed to one of the host resorts (I recommend one close to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to save time). From there, she'll take race transportation to the race/expo. Keep in mind the only option from Epcot® after the Wine & Dine Finish Line Party will be a taxi.

I hope this information is helpful, Tricia! I know this plan isn't ideal, but without a personal vehicle, and with the race starting and finishing in two separate locations, options are a bit limited with this specific race. If you should have any additional questions please do not hesitate to ask. I am here to help!

    Cheers!
