Hi! I’ll be coming to Disney in September with my 12 year old son. Which is the best park for us to go to

Hey there Toni and welcome to planDisney!

The Walt Disney World Resort is the place to be in September. How do I know? That's when I go every year! I started the tradition a few years back and this year my entire family will be going on my annual pilgrimage. Now of course each Disney Park has its own special flavor to add to the Disney gumbo. They all work together to make the taste just right. But I'll do my best to help you pick the ingredient that will appeal to y'all.

If it's the thrills you and your son are after, I'd recommend Disney's Hollywood Studios. There are lots of attractions to get the blood pumping. You can shoot through the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run and fight the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. You can hit the classics like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. You can even live out your Toy Story dreams as one of Andy's toys on Slinky Dog Dash. There are lots of opportunities for y'all to bond while screaming your heads off.

Pro-tip: It may be worth it to snag Tickets with a Park Hopper Option so that after yall have run all over Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can catch a Friendship Boat over to EPCOT for the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. You'll definitely have worked up an appetite with all that zooming around you'll have done that morning.

Toni, I truly hope your vacation is everything your heart desires. If you see me there I certainly hope you'll say hello. And if you have any more questions, just give me another holler!

    Happy planning!
