Hi! I'll be celebrating my 30th bday at WDW with a group of 6 adults. I've been to WDW many times, but never with a dining plan and I'm a bit stressed. Do we simply inform our waiter that we have a plan to redeem via magic band? Thanks!

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole! I really don't think there's a better place to celebrate your birthday than at Walt Disney World Resort, and with the added bonus of the Disney Dining Plan, you really are in for the vacation of a lifetime.

One of the things you're going to love about the Dining Plan, aside from all the incredible food you're about to eat, is how easy it is to use when you get there. You probably won't even have to let the Cast Member serving you know that you're redeeming Table-Service credits because they'll probably ask you as soon as you sit down! The same goes for Quick-Service meals as well: you'll most likely be asked if you want to use your credits when you're checking out. Of course, you can always let them know right from the start to make sure that you get exactly what you need.

I can't let you leave for your birthday trip without letting you know about some of my favorite ways to use those Dining Plan credits! You should head to Big Top Treats inside Big Top Souvenirs to get a specialty cupcake to celebrate the big 3-0. Take this opportunity to be a kid at heart and grab all the Mickey ice cream bars and pretzels that you want, but save some room for some more adventurous snacks too, like the Pork Bao from Caravan Road at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Finally, make sure you save some of those Snack credits to use at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which is the perfect way to spend the last days of your twenties or the first of your thirties!

    Happy snacking, Nicole!
