I'll celebrate my bday at Hollywood Studios, on May 10 and I would like to schedule a dinner at Rodeo BBQ and build a droid at Droid Depot. Can I be a few minutes late getting to a reservation? Can I leave my droid in somewhere to pick it up at night?

    Bright suns, Anderson!

Welcome back to planDisney!  A birthday celebration at Walt Disney World Resort?  I can't imagine anything more magical!  Make sure when you arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios that you pick up your complimentary birthday button so that everyone can celebrate your special day with you!  These are available from Guest Services and most retail locations.  You can also ask a Cast Member for help finding the nearest location where you can pick one up.

It sounds like you have a wonderful birthday planned including a visit to Droid Depot and Roundup Rodeo BBQ.  I visited Droid Depot with my boys on a recent trip and we had the best time designing our new friends!  Once you have finished making your droid, you could look at renting a locker to store it in during the rest of your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  You'll also find backpacks for sale at Droid Depot which are specially designed for carrying your droid if you're interested in keeping your new buddy with you.  I would recommend leaving at least a little bit of time to explore Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge with your droid before powering it down for the day though as you'll be able to see it interact with other droids and various areas of Batuu - it's really neat to watch!

I haven't had the chance yet to dine at Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land, but it's on my list of must-try restaurants on my next visit.  My planDisney friend, Elaine, recently shared that it's her family's favorite new spot in Walt Disney World Resort!  Reservations for restaurants are available beginning 60 days before your arrival, so you should be able to check availability now.  Due to the popularity of Disney's Table-Service restaurants, reservations are recommended and they do ask that you arrive on time for your reservation.  With that said, a day in the parks can sometimes be a bit unpredictable and I've found if I'm usually within 10 minutes or so of my reservation time, Cast Members have been understanding and able to still accommodate my family.  If something changes with your plans that day, many restaurants allow you to cancel your reservation up to two hours before arrival without penalty, but it's important to check the specific policy for each restaurant when you make your reservations.  You can easily manage all of your dining reservations and plans through your My Disney Experience!

Anderson, I hope this helps you plan a birthday celebration that is practically perfect in every way!  Please remember that you've got a friend in me here at planDisney and I hope you stop by to see us again with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future!
