Hi I’ll be attending the food and wine festival in September, and I’d like to purchase bottles of wine from some of the tastings. Is that possible to purchase a bottle of wine and then take it home with me.

    Hi there,

Welcome to planDisney Tammy! We are sure glad you stopped by with this question. EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival is one of my favorite events for tasting plates and beverages to go with it. While I am not a big fan of wine, my wife absolutely is. Chefs de France has an excellent wine selection. Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar has over 200 bottles of wine to select from. You will be able to purchase bottles of wine and leave the park with them. But please be aware if you are park hopping, you cannot bring glass containers into a park with you. If you rent a locker you will be able to leave it there but make sure you check park closing time so you can retrieve your bottles before the park closes. You should check with your airline if you are able to bring bottles with you in your checked bags back to Jersey. Each airline has specific rules so I would absolutely make sure the sizes you purchase are able to come back home. Unless of course you are taking the trek back up 95 North in a car, then you will have no worries bringing them back.

If you are truly interested in some of the best wine tastings in the world, then Disney Springs should be on your list. Wine Bar George is the premier location in the shopping district for wine enthusiasts. The best part about this location is you can buy the bottle, ounce, or a glass. They will even re-cork your bottle so you can bring it back to your room and finish up at some point in your trip. The owner is Master Sommelier George Miliotes and still studies wine all over the world today. He is one of the 281 world renowned Master Sommelier’s and this location has recently been awarded in 2024 Best Short List in the World. If you have time this must-do location is top rated for the planet Earth, let alone Disney.

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip if you have any other questions visit us again anytime.

    See ya real soon,
