Hi! I'll be arriving at the magical Disney World Sept 8th. I'm leaving the 12th and returning the 14th for the MNSSHP. I purchased a photopass, will it be in effect for the 14th as well or do I need to purchase a separate 1 day pass for event?

Hi there Amy, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. It sounds like you have an exciting Disney adventure planned, with a few magical days at the parks followed by a return for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP). That party is such a fun and festive experience, full of spooky decorations, character sightings, and special treats, and I’d be happy to help make sure your PhotoPass plans are set so you can capture all those magical memories without any worries.

Your Disney PhotoPass purchase is generally tied to the dates you select when you buy it. For example, if you purchased a standard multi-day PhotoPass for your trip from September 8th to the 12th, it would only be valid during that timeframe. That means when you return for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on the 14th, your original PhotoPass would not automatically cover that day. You would need to either purchase a separate one day PhotoPass for the party or look into any event specific photography options.

If you purchased Memory Maker, it covers all your PhotoPass photos taken during the validity period, but it also has an activation window. If your Memory Maker was activated during your first trip and expires before September 14th, it won’t cover your MNSSHP visit.

It’s also worth noting that special events like MNSSHP often have their own photography included with the party ticket. Disney photographers are around the event areas, and some of those photos can be linked to your Disney account, but they aren’t always part of a standard PhotoPass package. So even if you had an active PhotoPass during your earlier trip, the photos taken during the Halloween party may not automatically be included, and purchasing a separate Photopass add-on for that day is usually the safest way to ensure you can download and keep all your event photos.

Amy, I hope this helps you feel confident about planning your PhotoPass for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party so you can capture all the magical memories from your visit. Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question, and I’m wishing you a spooktacular night full of treats, rides, and unforgettable moments!
