Ihave read that the art of animation will have its own bus transportation. Will staying there be better for quick bus transportation. we are a group of 10. we are currently booked for Septemer for Port Orleans Riverside.

    Hi Sara!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

The concept art for the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort looks fabulous.  I can't wait to stay there myself.  We have been told that it will have its own bus service and will not share buses with any other resorts.  If its bus layout is like near by Pop Century's then there will only be one bus stop at the Art of Animation Resort.  That makes getting on and off the bus convenient in my opinion.

Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  Being a Moderate Resort, it will have more services and amenities than any of the Value Resorts, including Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  However, there are several bus stops at Port Orleans Riverside.  The extra bus stops can sometimes make the bus trip longer depending on the guests and how fast they can get on and off the bus.

So from a bus transportation perspective, staying at Pop Century or the Art of Animation Resort is slightly better.  However, I think staying at Port Orleans Riverside is better from every other perspective.  I suggest not changing your plans.  If you do stay at Port Orleans Riverside, be sure to take the boat to Downtown Disney one night.  It is a relaxing and fun trip!

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
