If I have the Disney Dining Plan (with table service) can I still add on a celebration cake to my restaurant reservation? Or would I have to try to add it separately? Also would I have to tell them when I check in?

Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth! It sounds like you'll be celebrating a special occasion at the Walt Disney World Resort - what could be a more magical setting for any type of celebration than the Most Magical Place on Earth?

Elizabeth, adding a celebration cake to your Disney dining reservation is a fun way to surprise the guest of honor and share a sweet treat in celebration! This is available at many dining locations on property; we enjoyed a chocolate Mickey Mouse cake at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue last year for my daughter's Sweet 16 birthday dinner! Even if you are using the Disney Dining Plan, you can still reserve your cake when you book your dining reservation. Just let your server know that you'll be using the Disney Dining Plan for your meals and paying out of pocket for your celebration cake at the end of your meal!

And since we're talking about celebrating, be sure to stop by Guest Relations or even the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel to request an "I'm Celebrating" button! Cast Members are happy to personalize these for you, and there are some options for specific celebrations as well, such as birthdays and anniversaries! No matter what you're celebrating, you're sure to find magic all around you!

I hope this helps, Elizabeth, and I hope you have a magical vacation and even more magical celebration! If you have any other questions before your visit, please come back to planDisney and let us know! We'll save you a seat at the table!

    Bon Appetit,
    Alison
