Is it too much (ie, money/dining credits/time away from parks) to get ADRs for 2 meals/day? Our family of 4 (incl. 4 and 6yo girls) currently have one ADR/day-some days just breakfast and therefore we'll be counter service for lunch/dinner I guess.

You sound a lot like me when I plan meals for our trips.  I love having table service meals and would have them three times a day if I could.

That said, I think that you may find it a bit too much to do every single day of your trip.  However, it would be completely reasonable to do for several days.  I'd recommend combining table service breakfasts with perhaps a nice lunch or dinner at Epcot or at your resort.  Table service meals can be a nice break from walking around in the heat.

If you are on the original Disney Dining Plan, you may find that you'll have to pay out of pocket for a few meals.  In that case, keep track of what the least expensive table service meals will be and pay cash for those, rather than just pay cash for the last few meals.

    Have fun planning!
