Hi Kenneth,
Thanks so much for sailing by! There are so many incredible activities, dining options on board a Disney Cruise Line vacation, that your five-year-old will likely be enticing you to book your next sailing before you disembark! I have teens now, but one of my favorite "activities" on a Disney Cruise Line voyage is to watch the marvel in the faces of its tiniest passengers as they embark upon the vacation of a life time.
At check-in, all passengers (including young children) will need to
present valid passports or other acceptable proof of citizenship. If you are sailing to the Bahamas or Caribbean, children under the age of 16 traveling with their parents may use a birth certificate as proof of citizenship. However, I strongly recommend having passports for everyone in your traveling party. In order to enter or re-enter the United States by air, a passport is required. In the unlikely event that you had to disembark the ship and fly home from a port outside the country, you would need a passport. You can find important travel regulations and guidelines for your specific itinerary under
My Reservations. Disney Cruise Line considers it your responsibility to ensure that you have the proper documentation to board the ship and enter each of the countries on your cruise.
I hope this helps!
