Hi Abby,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I’m thrilled for you that you get to take two Walt Disney World trips in one year!
My son is about to celebrate his birthday at Walt Disney World, and he is over the moon excited. Shhh…don’t tell him, but we have two exciting experiences planned for his special day. We are going to sign him up for Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, and then, later that night, surprise him with reservations for the
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party. We thought the magical dessert party, with its special treats and VIP feel, would really make his Star Wars birthday over the top.
Another fun and different idea might be a
special tour. There are so many options, to fit every interest and price point, and it’s an opportunity for a unique and memorable experience. I was gifted a tour a few years ago, and it was one of the most magical things I’ve ever done.
What about birthday time with his favorite character? There are so many different
character dining options you could reserve, or maybe you could visit the character and get a birthday picture. You could purchase a picture frame and ask the character to sign the photo mat, and then you’d have a special souvenir from his birthday trip.
Don’t forget to pick up a birthday celebration button at Guest Services so your fellow guests as well as Cast Members know its’s his special day. Finally, no birthday is complete without an over-the-top birthday treat, like a decadent birthday cupcake or an ice cream sundae!
Wishing your son a magical birthday,
Robyn
