I would like ideas on how to my daughter's 4th b-day special. We are doing BBB but what location is better Downtown Disney or MK? How is the Cinderella Dinner at the Grand Floridian? I have heard mixed reviews about the buffet and seating.

    Hi Nicole!

What better way to celebrate your daughter's birthday than at the "Wonderful World of Disney!"

Although both locations are fine, for a true magical experience, try to get reservations for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at the Magic Kingdom. My daughter did this both at 4 and 6, and the excitement watching her walking up to Cinderella's castle (where the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located) was priceless. They also have a nice Princess-themed store right across from the castle, if you want to go all out and get her something princess-themed either before or after the salon.

We also took our family to Cinderella's Happily Ever After Buffet Dinner at Grand Floridian. The food was good, but there are a lot of varieties (French, African, Italian). Something to be mindful for the varied ingredients. Also, ask them to sit you in the open area. We sat in an "overflow" section, which was fine but gets cramped when the characters walk in (the evil stepmother and stepsisters' dresses are LARGE-so prepare to be swiped once or twice as they walk past).

Good luck and best wishes on the preparations!
