Any ideas on what to do after a BBB a.m. appointment? My daughter, 8, doesn't want to swim or go on any rides for fear her hair/new style will fall out. My son, 13, wants to swim, play, and go, go, go. Any ideas on how to make both happy?

    Hi Debra!

How exciting that your Princess has an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique during your upcoming visit! It's such a magical experience that she's sure to remember for a lifetime!

Most young Princesses don't want to swim or endure any water rides on the day of their appointment, which is totally understandable! What Princess wants to ruin their beautiful hairdo or stunning makeup? That being said, most attractions around Magic Kingdom Park don't involve the need to get wet or ruin anyone's hairstyle ... so I say 'Go have lots of fun around the park!' Truthfully, the hairstyles at BBB are done in quite a solid and secure fashion. Your daughter won't need to worry about a little wind on a ride messing up her beautiful 'do.

There's no better way to receive more enjoyment and attention over a regal makeover than to have the opportunity to parade around amongst other Princesses! Whenever my daughter visited the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, we always tied in a Princess Dining opportunity later in the day. They two just go hand in hand! Consider Akershus Royal Banquet Hall over at Epcot for Princess Storybook Dining, Cinderella's Royal Table right in Magic Kingdom or, my favourite, 1900 Park Fare for Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at the nearby Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Even your son will enjoy the shenanigans at 1900 Park Fare as the Stepmother and Step Sisters are quite a hoot when they visit your table!

If you have 2 adults in your travel party and decide you'd like to divide and conquer on this 'Princess Day' - consider the Wonderland Tea Party for just your daughter, while your son goes off to enjoy his share of thrills, water and non-stop-go activity!

I hope these suggestions help you plan your perfect Disney Day Debra!
If you have additional questions, feel free to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again.

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
