Hi there, Susan! Welcome back to planDisney.
Ah,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Just walking into that regal lobby, breathing in the signature scent, taking in all the
grandness of it all, just puts me at ease and reminds me I'm on vacation. I got to stay in
this phenomenal resort for the first time last March and it was exactly what I needed. Just walking in immediately put a smile on my face.
At this time, we are unsure of when the construction at this beautiful resort will be complete. That being said, they have made some great progress and it looks better than ever! Everything looks refreshed, vibrant, and new and I'm confident they are trying their hardest to get it completed as soon as possible.
When I recently visited a few weeks ago, the construction didn't take away from the atmosphere or the majority of the offerings. In fact, the
Grand Cottage and Easter Egg displays for the spring season were getting prepped as per usual. My friends and I grabbed a drink and some appetizers at
The Enchanted Rose and while there was a bit of construction that I could see in my view out the window, I found that it really didn't take away from the experience. My husband and I will be dining at the newly refreshed
Cítricos and
Victoria & Albert's on our upcoming trip in two weeks and the construction isn't even on my mind!
Susan, I truly understand your concern. No construction is better than some construction...especially when you're staying at the resort with the construction! But construction means new and exciting updates to come. Fingers crossed that by the time you visit this coming September, you'll just be enjoying the sparkly newness of it all and avoiding the construction. I promise I'll stop using the word construction. I'll say updates. And speaking of updates, you may want to check out
1900 Park Fare while you're there, which
will be re-opening on April 10, 2024 with new menu updates and characters!
If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out.
Everything is possible, even the impossible,
Matt
