Hi there, Laura! Welcome to planDisney! I am happy to help you navigate the ins and outs of ticket options at
Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland during the Holidays is one of my favorite times of year. You cannot get more festive than the giant Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., and the snowy transformation during
Wintertime Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle. I visited this past December with a large group of friends, and sitting near “it’s a small world,” with its brilliant lights watching the snow fall has become one of my all-time favorite Disney memories.
Laura, unfortunately, the
California Resident ticket will not be valid for the 2026 Holiday season or in January 2027. While this ticket does offer greater flexibility than the 13-day use period of a traditional Multi-day ticket, it must be used by May 21, 2026. For a visit during that timeframe, you would need to purchase a
standard ticket, such as a One Day One Park ticket, a Park Hopper ticket, or a Multi-day ticket.
Another option that may offer additional flexibility is purchasing a
Magic Key pass. I am a Magic Key holder myself and love the freedom to visit when it works for me. That said, it is important to note that Magic Key passes do have blackout dates, which could limit availability during the holiday season.
Laura, I can't wait for you to stand beneath the softly falling snow, watch the magnificent
A Christmas Fantasy Parade (returning November 18, 2026), and soak in all the magic of the holiday season at Disneyland Resort.
Many merry memories!
Kimberly
