Hi Elizabeth! We are a family of 6 with twins too. As a Disney Vacation Club member I love the value and top of the line accommodations you get with the Disney deluxe resorts.
The best part of staying at a
Deluxe Villa is having all the amenities of home away from home. You'll love having private bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a large living area, a washer/dryer, and the best feature...a fully equipped kitchen that you can stock with your own groceries from home! To really save money and stretch our vacation dollars we typically eat one meal out either lunch or dinner and I cook everything else in our villa. Since we drive to Walt Disney World Resort I can pack everything I need with us. If you're flying you can put a lot of your non-perishable groceries in checked luggage or ship a box directly to the resort ahead of your arrival.
Your family of 7 will fit comfortably in a 2-bedroom deluxe villa. To give your older kids a bit more privacy you can opt for a 2-bedroom lock-off villa, which is essentially a 1-bedroom villa that is connected to a deluxe studio villa. You can choose to keep the adjoining door open or closed. You have several choices, some of my best value favorites include Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Disney also has
special offers with great savings sometimes up to 30% off on resort stays throughout the year. Depending on your dates of travel you can really save on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
I hope I've given you some helpful options to consider and I wish you a magical and memorable family vacation!
~Juliette
