Hey, howdy, hey, Lauren, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're looking forward to an exciting vacation for next spring, and you must be so excited to begin the planning process! I'm so glad you've found us here at planDisney. While my Panelist pals and I aren't Travel Agents and can't directly book travel for you, we are here and always happy to help answer your questions about vacationing at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Lauren, whether you're headed to Walt Disney World Resort for Spring Break with your family or with a fun group of friends, you're sure to have a blast! There is plenty to do, see, and taste for Guests of all ages. Spring Break is such a lovely time of year to visit because the weather is typically fairly mild, though warm enough to spend some time relaxing at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel's pool. You'll likely be visiting during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which is a celebration of everything beautiful that grows in nature!
But, first things first. Since you already know your desired travel dates, the next step is to choose a Disney Resorts Collection hotel to call "home" during your visit, and then select your Disney Theme Park tickets. From there, you'll want to think about dining and other experiences you'd like to try, and as your vacation draws near, you can purchase options like
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to use during your vacation.
Let's start at the very beginning - a very good place to start! Your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room will be your home base during your vacation. You'll want to choose one that fits your location and aesthetic preferences. If you'd like to be within walking distance to a Disney Theme Park, consider Disney's Contemporary Resort for quick access to Magic Kingdom Park. Disney's Beach Club Resort is just outside the entrance of EPCOT, and Disney's BoardWalk Inn is a short walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Walking isn't the only way to get around, though! Guests enjoy complimentary and safe transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort on buses, boats, the Disney Skyliner, and Disney Monorail. Depending on where you're headed, you might get to enjoy a variety of these during your stay!
Each Disney Resort has unique theming with restaurants and activities that complement it. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is an African-inspired paradise where you'll have sweeping views of the savannah. Disney's Art of Animation Resort will make you feel like you're inside of an artist's sketchbook! You truly can't go wrong with any of the Disney Resorts!
When you're ready to purchase your
Disney Theme Park tickets, you'll have some choices to make. My family prefers to only visit one park per day, but plenty of my friends enjoy having a Park Hopper option that allows them to visit more than one park per day. This is all about your personal preference! I do, however, recommend building in one "rest" day in the middle of your vacation so that you can enjoy your Resort and give your body some time to relax. It's vacation, after all!
Other options you can consider include dining plans. I love dining plans because they provide a great value for my family. Be sure to check out your options, and don't forget to make
Advance Dining Reservations 60 days before the day you check in to your Disney Resort.
Lauren, there's so much I could tell you about planning your vacation, and hopefully this helps you get started. Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See you real soon!
