Welcome to planDisney, Wayne! I'm so happy you found us.
While I'd never say planning is just as much fun as an actual vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort, it's fun in its own way and helps to get everyone excited for the memories they are going to make! And what could be more fun than enjoying the resort with a large group? When we celebrated my milestone birthday two years ago, I had my extended family with me and it was a blast. We still talk about it to this day!
If you are looking to speak to someone about booking your vacation package,
you can always call the resort and a friendly Cast Member would be happy to help. Otherwise, you can
book through the Walt Disney World Resort website by booking each room separately and selecting the number of people that would be staying in each.
Wayne, once you've got your vacation package all squared away, mark 60 days prior to your arrival date on the calendar. This is when you'll be able to book your
advanced dining reservations and any special experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection you might want to enjoy. At this time, you can start booking these reservations starting at 6 a.m. EST and if you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can book them for the entire length of your trip (up to 10 days). As a tip, you will likely have to split up your group when making reservations for many of the restaurants at the resort. Then, when you check into the restaurant, you can politely ask if your group can sit together or near each other. Please note that this is not guaranteed although Cast Members will try their very best!
Keep in mind that the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is usually taking place in the fall around the time you'll be visiting. While next year's dates haven't been announced, stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog to see when it'll be offered as you'll definitely want to check it out if it's available when you are there!
If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out.
Happy planning,
Matt
