Welcome, Julia! We are so excited to have you, here at planDisney!
How exciting that you're planning a visit with your entire club of Mouseketeers! It sounds like a party to me! I understand how securing dining reservations for a large group might feel daunting, so let me share some recommendations as you make your plans.
Dining reservation availability for a group of 20 can be difficult to find in the
dining search tool, but I have been successful in the past by making reservations for two groups (say, 10 guests each) within 15 minutes of each other. You'll need to ask a friend in your group to hold one of these reservations, as the system will view it as a time conflict, otherwise. Then, once you arrive at the restaurant, I suggest checking in with the Cast Member at the host desk and kindly asking if they can combine the reservations and seat you together, or at least at tables very near each other. Sometimes I like to do this as soon as my preferred dining location opens for the day, for the best chance that the Cast Members can accommodate my request. It's not guaranteed, but you never know when you might get a little pixie dust for your day!
Alternatively, you may wish to call
Guest Services or use the chat function in the
official Disneyland mobile app to see if a Cast Member can help you secure dining reservation options for your large group. Don't forget that advanced dining reservations may be made up to 60 days prior, and they typically open at 6:00 A.M. PST. However, in my experience, I've noticed that reservations can be released in batches throughout the day, so it is helpful to check more than once on the date your dining reservation window opens.
Blue Bayou Restaurant is an excellent choice, with a dining atmosphere that is so unique and memorable! For a group of your size, I also recommend
Goofy's Kitchen which is located in the Disneyland Hotel and offers character dining experiences. I recently experienced breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen with a group of nearly 30 Guests and it was so fun to see Mickey, Minnie, and their pals parade around our tables! I've also found that
River Belle Terrace in Disneyland Park and
Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park tend to have large seating areas that may accommodate sizeable groups.
I hope these tips are helpful, Julia, and that your entire cast of characters has a spectacular time in Disneyland Resort! If you have any other questions in the meanwhile, we welcome you to '
Be Our Guest' again here at
planDisney!
Wishing you
Wondrous Journeys,
