Hi there, Elaine!
Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you are just a few days away from the magic - you must be getting so excited!
Happy to report that an ID is not required to enter Downtown Disney and only in special instances will it be checked to enter Disneyland Park and California Adventure. Currently, Guests using Military tickets or the special
SoCal Resident Ticket will be asked to present an ID. The SoCal Resident Ticket is designed for locals, and Guests must have a valid, government-issued photo ID reflecting an eligible address within ZIP codes 90000 - 93599.
If neither of those apply to you, you should be all set! If you are scanning into the parks with a fresh theme park ticket, the Cast Members will snap a photo of you which will then be linked to that ticket. This photo will serve as an identifier and will pop up anytime that ticket is scanned at the Main Entrance Gates to ensure that it is only you who is using it.
Now that we've gotten that settled, I hope you can sit back and let the pixie dust take over to plan the rest of your visit. I always recommend checking out the
Park Hours and Entertainment Schedule ahead of time. This helps me plan out the bookends of our park day - the time we arrive and where we will end the night. We like to get there for park opening and hop on a few attractions before the crowds arrive, and we always end with a nighttime spectacular! Since we are in the swing of Spring Break, I can see that, currently, some entertainment (
Fantasmic! and
Mickey's Mix Magic with Fireworks) that is usually reserved for weekends will be happening mid-week for your visit!
Elaine, if you have any more questions, we'd love to hear them. We are always here for you at
planDisney. I'm wishing you a visit filled with unforgettable memories and magic.
Tara
