Hi Mercedes, welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort is a place where kids of all ages can enjoy unbelievable sights and indescribable feelings together. Now that I fall into the "kid at heart" age bracket, I experience Disney magic in a whole new way with my children. I love watching my seven-year-old interact with characters and my ten-year-old makes the best faces in attraction photos.
Photo ID is not required for children under 17 to enter the parks, Mercedes, but let's take a moment to go over what is required. All Guests over the age of three must have valid admission, a theme park reservation, and a method of entry (MagicBand, admission card, or Disney MagicMobile pass).
Valid admission must be
linked to each person's
My Disney Experience account before theme park reservations can be made. Guests under the age of 13 may not have their own My Disney Experience account, which means their plans are housed under an adult's account. Teenagers may have their own My Disney Experience account, or you may choose to manage their plans, as well. I even manage the plans of my parents. I recommend making
theme park reservations at least two months in advance to ensure
theme park reservation availability. You can make theme park reservations for anyone that appears on your
Family and Friends list in My Disney Experience.
At park entry, a
method of entry will be scanned. If you wish to pick up admission cards at a Guest Relations or ticket window before entering a park, be prepared to show email confirmation of the ticket purchase, the credit card used to make the purchase, and the photo ID of the credit card holder. At park entry, each person will likely have to scan their fingerprint, as well. For small children, I recommend scanning an adult's fingerprint.
I know this is a lot of information to process, Mercedes. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any follow-up questions.
Plan magic; planDisney.
