Howdy Shannon,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you’re here with this great question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World. The
Dining Plan is currently my new favorite topic. I decided to use the
Quick-Service plan during my last visit with my boys and we loved the convenience. My teenager was able to go to our resort quick-service location whenever he got hungry (which is often these days) and use his
MagicBand+ to purchase meals and use the plan. I was able to easily track our plan usage in the
My Disney Experience app. It was really a great add-on for us and I’m sure we will use it again! I’m already planning to use the
Table-Service plan during a kid-free visit with my partner soon. With the Table-Service plan, lunch and dinner meals typically include an entrée, a dessert, and an alcoholic (for guests 21+) or a nonalcoholic beverage.
Steakhouse 71 is such a great dining choice. This family-friendly steakhouse offers a delicious menu that was inspired by Walt Disney himself. Many of the menu items were Walt's favorite dishes. The lounge at Steakhouse 71 is a good first-come, first-seated option offering a pared down menu for anyone who either can't get a restaurant reservation or really wants that Stack Burger! While you are able to use table-service dining credits at the Steakhouse 71 lounge, you won't really get the full value of your dining credit there because your meal won’t come with dessert which isn’t included on the lounge menu. If dessert is as important to you as it is to me (never met a crème brûlée that I didn’t like), then you may want to consider lunch at Steakhouse 71. The Stack Burger does appear on the lunch menu, and reservations are recommended.
I hope this information is helpful, Shannon. Enjoy that burger, and come on back to planDisney any time with your planning questions. We’ll see ya real soon.
