    Hi - I’d like to purchase Magic Bands for our trip and keep reading about “pre-arrival price” and shopping w/in the MyDisneyExp app. No matter what link I click on it takes me to ShopDisney showing the retail price. Is there a link you can provide.

    Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your vacation planning question.  What a great coincidence that you asked this question, as I was just looking at ordering a MagicBand+ for my upcoming vacation this fall so I am happy to help you out with what I have learned.

    First, whenever I am in Walt Disney World Resort, I rely on My Disney Experience App 100% of the time.  It is my go-to best friend that helps me navigate my perfect Disney day.  In fact, sometimes when I am daydreaming of my happy place, I will open up the app just to see what is happening at the parks that day!  However, in order to purchase a MagicBand at the pre-arrival special price for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will need to do this through the My Disney Experience website.  You may do this while on your phone; you will just need to use a web browser and not the app.

    Once you have logged into your My Disney Experience account, navigate to the section entitled "My MagicBands and Cards".  You should see your upcoming Disney Resort Reservation listed and how many days left you have to complete your MagicBand order.  Scroll down until you see a blue box entitled "Edit Order" and click on it.  This will take you to the specially priced pre-arrival MagicBands and MagicBand+ available to you.  If you hover over each MagicBand you will see the discount available to you as a Disney Resort hotel Guest.  Simply order the one that most appeals to you!  Of course, that is easier said than done.  My 13-year-old son came in a few moments ago while I was looking at MagicBands for my upcoming trip with my girlfriends and he is actively campaigning for me to order the Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy MagicBand+.  Ahh, patience you must have my young Padawan.

    Note, if you order your Magicband more than 11 days prior to your Disney Resort hotel check-in then your MagicBand order will be shipped to your home address.  If you order your MagicBand from 6-10 days prior to your check-in, then your MagicBand will be shipped to your Disney Resort hotel.
