I'd like the pot roast recipe at the Liberty Tree Tavern and the cut of beef used it was the best I ever had.

Your tummy is as rumbly as Pooh Bear’s Joseph! I, myself, have a few recipes I’d love to sneak out of the Walt Disney World Resort kitchens so I could eat them everyday at home! You’re in luck if you like Liberty Tree Tavern’s Pot Roast… I have some hints for you to recreate it at home.

The cut of beef that the Liberty Tree chefs use is a boneless beef shoulder roast, about three pounds or so per cut. I’ve made this cut before in my slow cooker at home,  but I leave it in the pot for at least 90 minutes to tenderize it before serving and carving. The Liberty Tree Tavern recipe is also floating around on the internet, specifically on DisneyFoodBlog.com, which is run by a Disney Parks super-fan. You can search for, “DIY Disney Recipe: New England Pot Roast” for his complete breakdown and cooking tips. I also managed to find the official recipe in a cookbook that is partially out of print, but available for around $5 on Amazon entitled, “Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs,” which was an official Disney publication. It has the Pot Roast inside as well as many of your park and cruise line favorites.

I hope you get your fill of Pot Roast at home before returning to Liberty Tree Tavern for another go-round. Bon Appetit! ~ Lindsey P.
