Welcome back to planDisney, Janelle! I'm glad that you found your way back here. As a mom of a kid with a
food allergy, I understand the importance of keeping your loved one safe around food.
Unfortunately, mushrooms are not listed as one of the common food allergies on the
Special Services Form. After booking your vacation, the family member with the food allergy should contact Disney Cruise Line directly to add a note to the reservation in advance of your cruise. This will inform your dining team of the allergy. I also suggest that your family member speak with your dining team and chef on the first night of your cruise to ensure they understand the food allergy. They may ask a few questions. Only the dining teams in the
rotational dining and
adult-exclusive restaurants will have access to this information, so when ordering
Room Service or dining at the buffet and the quick service restaurants, such as those on the pool deck, you will need to have a conversation with the staff there each time.
Your loved one who is a vegetarian can complete the Special Request under My Reservations. There are vegetarian options on the menus of the rotational dining restaurants, which can be viewed in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once on your ship. There are also vegetarian options at the quick service restaurants and on the buffet.
I hope this helps, Janelle. If you have any other questions about your future Disney vacation, my
planDisney pals and I are happy to answer them.
Sending pixie dust,
JoVonn
