Hey, howdy, hey, Abee! Thanks for coming back to planDisney with another vacation planning question! Early mornings on Main Street, U.S.A. are a special sort of magic; there's nothing better than starting your day with a view of Cinderella Castle and the fanfare of the daily opening ceremony with Mickey Mouse and friends as they
Let the Magic Begin!
Abee, I've got great news for you! All guests are able to enter Magic Kingdom Park about an hour before opening; guests who are taking advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry will be allowed past Main Street, U.S.A. to line up for select attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, while guests without early entry are still welcome to explore Main Street and find a spot near the castle for the opening show. During this time, there may be some limited shopping and dining experiences available to guests including
Main Street Bakery if you're looking to grab a cup of coffee or a quick breakfast item while you wait!
If you do plan to get to Magic Kingdom in time for the show, keep in mind that the parking lot will open about an hour before early entry (so if early entry is at 8:30 AM, you should be able to access the parking lot by 7:30 AM).
Parking for this theme park is at the Ticket and Transportation Center, and from there, you can take the Disney Monorail or Disney Ferryboat to the entrance for the park. Keep transportation time in mind and plan to arrive before or as close to 7:30 AM as possible if you will be parking your own car and hoping to make it to the castle in time for the show!
Once the show finishes, Magic Kingdom Park will officially open for the day and the magic can begin! If you aren't eligible for Early Theme Park Entry, you may want to consider heading to Adventureland or Frontierland first, since early entry guests will have already had access to Fantasyland and Tomorrowland by this time. My favorite way to start the day is with the excitement of the
Wildest Ride in the Wilderness, so you'll find me making my way directly to
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!
As you navigate all of the fun in each of the themed lands throughout Magic Kingdom, be sure to include the afternoon
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade in your plans! This is a fantastic way to see some of your favorite characters and enjoy the pageantry of the costumes and floats as they parade through the park!
Abee, I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your day at Magic Kingdom! The magic is just about ready to begin - reach out and find it! And if you have any other planning questions along the way, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always ready to help you make magic!
See you real soon,
Alison
