Welcome back to planDisney, Maria Alice!
It’s thrilling to hear that you want to experience a Disney cruise for the first time! I remember when we made that same decision, and it was a game-changer for our family. My kids were 9 and 5, and they absolutely LOVED it. Of course, it was such a big hit with them in part because of the Youth Clubs. I hope that your daughter will feel the same after you sail with Captain Mickey!
With Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, kids ages 3 to 12 have a spectacular space for play, fun, and exploration. While there are no guarantees on who will be working in these Youth Clubs, many of the Cast Members are fluent in other languages. You’ll also find that their home countries are scattered all over the globe. That's one of the most amazing things you'll encounter on Disney Cruise Line...so many nationalities, the ship is like a great melting pot. The same goes for the Guests traveling on the cruise, so your daughter will likely become friends with other children in the clubs who speak her language.
Adults can tour the Youth Clubs during Open House hours, so I’d recommend that you take that opportunity to see the space and to chat with the Cast Members. I think that will make you feel much more confident about her experience in the clubs. Added bonus: you get to see firsthand all the amazing Disney details like the
Toy Story themed Andy’s Room. Open House times are listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This will be your guide to stay on top of all the activities and entertainment onboard. Be sure to download it before you set sail since it also has a cool countdown calendar.
Hopefully this has you convinced even more that sailing on Disney Cruise Line will be just the vacation your family needs. Feel free to stop back by anytime if we can answer more questions for you as you chart a course for an adventure at sea. Also I wanted to share that
planDisney is now answering questions in Spanish. So if any family or friends would like help planning their Disney vacations in their native language, we'd love it if you could point them in our direction.
Happy Sailing!
