Randy, welcome to planDisney. I am so excited to respond to your question today as I can think about all my must-dos at the most wonderful time of the year at Walt Disney World!
First, I must recommend
My Disney Experience App as your best friend for a Walt Disney World trip. All your dining reservations are recorded, and you'll find times for entertainment with the option to add to your plans. All aspects of your Walt Disney World vacation are stored in one spot available in your pocket.
My top entertainment recommendations at each Park for this time of year include:
EPCOT -
Candlelight Processional. There is so much magic in the powerful choral performances that accompany the Nativity story.
Magic Kingdom Park - although plans are yet to be announced for 2023, historically, Guests have enjoyed special festive parades a couple of days before Christmas with an appearance from the man himself (Santa, rather than Mickey). Keep an eye on the Magic Kingdom Park page for updates and times.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park -
Festival of the Lion King is my must-see, no matter the time of year. Think Broadway-level show.
Disney Hollywood Studios -
Fantasmic! You can combine this show with a character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine with a
Fantasmic! Dining Package.
My ultimate Character Dining experience is breakfast at
The Crystal Palace. The food is delectable, and Winnie the Pooh and friends are a delight. We like to book a later time for breakfast to take advantage of the quieter times in the Parks for Disney Resort hotel Guests with Early Entry. After a morning of fun, sitting down in The Crystal Palace is an unbeatable experience.
The dining options at Walt Disney World are unsurpassed. I promise you'll enjoy a fulfilling meal, even if you stick to the quick service menus. Should the time of year warrant something more special, I highly recommend dining in the elegant
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort! Its unrivaled view of the Magic Kingdom Park, Seven Seas Lagoon, and the entire Bay Lake area is especially magical at nighttime!
One last piece of advice is to please leave time to relax. There is always more to see, taste, and ride at Walt Disney World. Taking a moment to soak in the enchantment right where you are, especially at this magical festive time, may help you experience the true essence of pixie-dusted Disney Magic.
All my best wishes to you for an unforgettable time at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I hope this information has helped today, Randy. We love to help here at planDisney, so please pop back with any other questions. Louise
