    I'd like to know if we can use Disney Gift Cards (digital version) to pay for onboard charges such as gratuities, dinners, etc. I read a 2018 Q&A that it's possible. Can you confirm if it's still valid for Nov. 2022 sailing? Thank you!

    Ahoy there, Adrienne! Welcome aboard planDisney! 

    Wow! In just a few short weeks you'll be aboard one of the amazing ships of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, luxuriating in everything that's included while aboard! As someone who has sailed quite a few times, I'm here to tell you it's absolutely possible to enjoy a cruise with absolutely zero extra expense! That said, if you choose to enjoy an Adult-Exclusive dinner, experience an incredible Port Adventure, or partake in some of the amazing adult beverages aboard, you'll need to plan ahead for those expenses. 

    I have great news! I sailed over to chat with a crew member since I usually use physical Disney Gift Cards, and I'm pleased to inform you that you can use Digital Gift Cards to help settle your cruise folio! All you need to do is to stop by Guest Services with your gift card numbers, and they should be able to apply them to your onboard account! 

    Here's a planDrew-approved tip: be sure to take screenshots of your card numbers, or write them down in a safe location if you aren't planning on purchasing an internet package! I can't think of anything worse than having a gift card and being unable to bring up my email or files in that situation!
