Ahoy there, Jane! Welcome aboard! We're so glad to see you here at planDisney!
In the words of the merchant from "Aladdin," "Ah, I see you are only interested in the exceptionally rare!" I've always said the table service option at
Cabanas is overlooked as a great experience that many Guests don't take full advantage of when they're cruising! Now, would I suggest it every night, or on a shorter itinerary? Probably not, but I definitely agree it's worth trying!
I sailed on over to my fellow panelist,
Adrianna, since she's the one of us that's cruised most recently! Lucky for us, she asked this very question of her dining team! As of her sailing about a week ago, none of the ships in the fleet have returned to offering table service at Cabanas just yet, and since this was a fleet-wide change there's no current timeline known for when it will return.
That said, as we've seen over the past few months, things are changing as quickly as the tide aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships, so keep a weather eye on the horizon for any updates. If the horizon is a bit out of view for you in Michigan, the DisneyParks Blog and Disney Cruise Line News sites are always the best sources for the official word direct from Captains Minnie and Mickey - just like today when
Disney Cruise Line officially took delivery of the Disney Wish, expanding its fleet officially to five ships! If there's news to be seen, you'll find it on the official channels!
When it comes to the return of Cabanas table-service dining, I'll be right there with you when we hEAR it comes back! Thank you so much for your question, Jane, and if any others bubble to the surface as you look to plan your next Disney Cruise Line vacation, we'll be just offshore here at planDisney - just drop us another message in a bottle!
SEA ya real soon!
Andrew
