Hi there! I’d like some more information about the private areas that you can rent at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. I know there are a few different options. Could you break down the cost for me, please? Is it cheaper to get an advanced reservation?

    Hi Becky!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's always a pleasure to assist my fellow Guests from the UK, and I'm very happy to see that you are researching and planning your next trip!  There is something very enjoyable about spending a day at one of the Walt Disney World water parks - Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon - and I always schedule a day at both of these parks as a relaxing break from the theme parks. While my family enjoys the more adventurous water rides, and the amazing Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, I'm perfectly happy to relax on the beach with a magazine and a coffee, and perhaps a float around Castaway Creek or Cross Country Creek every so often for a change of scenery!

At both of the water parks, you may rent a private space for the day.  At Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, Beachcomber Shacks provide a reserved private space for up to six Guests and offers you towels, cushioned seating, a locker, refillable drink mugs and a cooler ready-stocked with bottles of water and ice. You will also have an attendant to bring you any food and drink (for an additional charge).  Another option for up to four Guests are Getaway Glen Umbrellas which provide a reserved area with seating (two loungers and two beach chairs), a small table, towels and a beach umbrella for that much-needed shade.

At Disney's Blizzard Beach, a Polar Patio provides a reserved private space for up to six Guests with all the same offering as the Beachcomber Shacks, and Lodge Umbrellas may be hired if you prefer a smaller area (two loungers and two beach chairs), a small table, towels and a beach umbrella.

For all enquiries, pricing details and reservations from the UK, please call US number (407) 939-7529.  There is no difference in price for making an advance or same-day reservation.  To enquire about availability when you arrive at the water park, please call at Singapore Sal's (at Typhoon Lagoon) or Beach Haus (at Blizzard Beach).  The current prices are around $300 for a day's rental of Beachcomber Shacks and Polar Patios.  Getaway Glen Umbrellas and Lodge Umbrellas will cost around $40-50 for the day, but please note these prices are always subject to change. I recommend you arrive at the water park early - around 30 minutes prior to opening time - for your best chance of securing one of these lovely reserved areas.  This will also give you enough time to rent a locker, store all your valuables and get in line for rope drop!

Please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World Resort.
