Hi Teka! I have (almost) as much fun planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation as I do once I actually get to the resort! Planning is a great way to build excitement for everyone in your travel party!
Teka, first things first! Go to the Walt Disney World Resort website and create your
My Disney Experience account. This account will be used to keep track of your resort reservation, park tickets, park reservations, dining reservations, and more!
Next, you want to decide on a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection that is going to be your “home away from home!” There are hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories. I recommend Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, Disney’s Coronado Springs - Gran Destino Tower, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! You can “visit” each of these hotels on the Walt Disney World Resort website. When you arrive at the website, just click on the heading that states, “Places to Stay.”
The next step in planning your vacation is so fun! Plan which parks you want to visit! There are four Disney Parks! You can choose which parks you want to visit and how many days you want to visit! I recommend taking a look at all of the attractions and entertainment in each park to decide which are of most interest to your travel party. Of course, you can always plan to visit all four parks!
Teka, I think this is enough to get your planning started! You are welcome to come back to planDisney to ask more specific questions about any aspect of planning! My fellow panelists are happy to offer any advice based on our experiences! You are also welcome to call (407)-939-5277. When you do, a helpful and friendly Cast Member can assist you with all of your planning needs! If you decide to do this, just be sure to set up your My Disney Experience account online prior to calling! It will save you some time!
