I'd like help with booking travel and registration for the Jan 2028 half marathon

    Howdy Denise!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m so happy that you ran by with your question today. My wife got into runDisney a few years ago and is currently training for the Dopey at next year’s marathon weekend. She loves dressing up, running, and enjoying all of the neat experiences during race weekend. So let's lace up our running shoes and get to it.

So as of right now, the runDisney website has information for races in 26/27. In my experience, they usually publish dates and information 11 months in advance, so I believe you will be able to find it around February after next year’s race. The best way to stay informed on runDisney events is to sign up for their mailing list on the runDisney website.  Once there, scroll down towards the bottom of the website, and you'll see the “Stay in Touch with runDisney” banner.  There you will find the button to join the mailing list you were looking for, so you can get updates and news on runDisney events. When you click the link, you'll be prompted to log in with your My Disney Experience username and password, and from there you can opt in to the mailing list.

When it comes to booking your stay at Walt Disney World, vacation packages typically open up 12 to 18 months in advance. I currently see that you can book dates through October 2027, which leads me to believe January 2028 could open up in the next few months. I would keep checking the website so you can book as soon as it opens.

We’re almost to our finish line, and I wanted to leave you with one last tip. I recommend getting Memory Maker. Memory Maker lets you get all the amazing Photo Pass pictures taken during the race, especially with all the characters. There is no better way to capture all of these memories for a lifetime.

Denise, I hope you have a magical time running through the Walt Disney World Parks. Dash back by anytime you have a question, and my fellow panelists and I will be happy to help.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
