Boo to you, Robin, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’ll be your Ghost Host as we plan your spooktacular visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
I always look forward to kicking off the holidays at Walt Disney World, starting with the fall decor at the Magic Kingdom Park. Rustic oranges and browns and adorable Mickey pumpkin wreaths adorn Main Street, U.S.A, in a fun, festive atmosphere that's sure to get you in the holiday spirit.
So, when do the fall decorations go up at Walt Disney World? The key to that info is the date of the first
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a separate ticketed event taking place select nights during the Halloween season. In recent years, the first party was as early as mid-August, meaning the Disney decorating goblins had the Magic Kingdom decked out in its Halloween finery by then. Last year's dates were announced in March, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog to find out when the first parties are scheduled. My guess is that they'll continue the August trend and that you'll have plenty of Halloween decorations to enjoy for your early September trip.
To really get your Halloween on, Robin, consider attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one of the nights of your visit. From the HalloWishes fireworks spectacular to Mickey’s Boo to You Halloween Parade to trick or treating and more, it's more fun than a barrel full of ghosts!
I hope this helps you have a ghoulishly good time on your fabulous fall Walt Disney World vacation, Robin. Please come visit your Ghost Hosts again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K
