Hey Howdy Hey Michelle and welcome to planDisney!
While there is no better place than Main Street U.S.A. to watch the nighttime fireworks show in the Magica Kingdom, the surrounding resorts offer some spectacular and unique views with a fraction of the crowds. Over at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa,
Narcoossee's does offer a fantastic view from the porch on the water of the fireworks. The season and crowd levels will determine the time of the show, but let's go over a few tips so you can bet your reservation will be around the time of the fireworks.
In January, Magic Kingdom will tend to close around 9:00 PM most nights. You will also have the opportunity to see
Happily Ever After around 8:00 PM weather permitting. Currently, the full schedule for January is not out yet for Magic Kingdom so these are just a few guidelines to keep in mind when making your reservation. If you planned your reservation around 7 or 7:30 PM, this will allow time for you to enjoy your meal and then watch the fireworks from the porch. I would make sure to keep and eye on the
calendar as we get closer to your travel dates so you know for sure what time the fireworks will be happening.
It sounds like you have a great evening planned for dinner and the show, but don't forget the other Magic Kingdom resorts. If you have time,
Disney's Contemporary Resort is full of great shopping and unique views of the Magic Kingdom. Over at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, they are getting close to finishing a spectacular expansion of this resort with the new Island Tower which opens in December of 2024. You should be able to stroll on over and check out the new tower as well as any shopping and lounges that will be available. The Walt Disney World monorail makes visiting all of these resorts super easy and a great way to experience the offerings of each!
I hope you have a Magical time on your upcoming vacation. If you have any further questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
