Hi Suzanne and welcome to planDisney!
Dining at Disney is one of my favorite things to do! I often plan my days around where we are going to eat, especially since there are so many wonderful
restaurants to choose from around Walt Disney World. From the theme parks to the
Disney Resort hotels to
Disney Springs, you can't go wrong with any dining options you choose.
Making dining reservations for a large group can be a little tricky. If you are unable to find tables for all 7 of you, try to split it into two tables at the closest times you can. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to sit together, but the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your group. When I have multiple reservations for a large group, I like to get to the restaurant a little early to speak to a Cast Member at the host stand. I never have any expectations, but am always super gracious if they can work a little magic for my party.
Dining reservations open 60 days in advance, but it sounds like you're already in that window. If you are able to make separate reservations for now, keep checking back for availability for 7. Guests are constantly changing their plans, so I often find reservations pop up that I've been trying to get a little closer to my trip. I like to use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to search for dining reservations. I find it easier than looking online since I can just open the app at any time and do a quick search. If I have my heart set on a particular restaurant or dining experience that I haven't been able to grab, I'll just pop on the app whenever I think about it and check for availability. To do this on the app, click on the plus sign (+) on the bottom middle and then click on "Check Dining Availability". Easy peasy!
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
