Welcome to planDisney, Katie! You must be getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It won't be long before you'll be right in the middle of
The World's Most Magical Celebration.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a program designed to accommodate Guests who have a difficult time waiting in a conventional queue due to a disability. Guests may register for DAS at
Guest Relations in the theme parks, or Guests in the US have the option of
pre-registering for DAS via live video chat. As part of the DAS pre-registration process, Guests are able to book up to 2 DAS Advance one-hour return windows for
select experiences. The DAS Advance selections are bonus reservations and are in addition to and independent from the selections Guests may make with the
same-day DAS return time self-selection tool available in the
My Disney Experience mobile app once the Guest has entered the park. DAS Advance selections cannot be changed or modified in the My Disney Experience app. If a Guest is unable to experience a DAS Advance attraction within the one-hour time window, it will simply expire and no longer be visible under "My Plans". Return times requested with the DAS self-selection tool do not expire and are valid until the park closes, however, a Guest may only hold one return time at a time.
I had the opportunity to speak with a member of the Disability Services team responsible for implementing the DAS program. The program was designed so that Guests make their DAS Advance selections during the initial pre-registration. These selections are not intended to be changed or modified, as the DAS team is focused on assisting new Guests with registration. Guests who have already registered for DAS and would like to plan selections for additional days may request a new virtual chat to make their additional selections.
Katie, if you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again. We are always happy to help. I'm wishing you a wonderful vacation!
